Television without frontiers
The Education and Culture Directorate-General is set to commission several studies relating to the television without frontiers directive. The contract will be divided into three lots: - a study on the impact of measures to foster the production and distribution of TV programmes, both at Community and national levels; - the likely development of markets for the exploitation of European audiovisual material and of the regulatory framework relating to the production and distribution of this material; - study on new television-advertising techniques. Between 1,400,000 and 1,600,000 euro will be available for the three studies, and it is estimated that a tender notice will be issued in July 2000.
