The Commission of the European Communities Directorate-General for Energy (DG XVII) has launched a call for tenders for logistical assistance for the preparation and organization of study tours and training of experts, identification of missions by experts and preparation and evaluation of activities carried out in the framework of the EC international energy cooperation programme between the European Community and third countries. The tasks covered by the present call for tender include: - Identification of the industry, government and other institutions in a position to receive experts; - Elaboration of the programme and agenda of each visit; - Provision of an expert, at the demand of the Commission, to accompany the group of experts visiting countries within the EC; - Organization of all travel and accommodation; - Provision of suitable rooms for meetings and all necessary infrastructure; - Administration and payment of fees and expenses of participants; - Ensuring that reports from participants are received and approved by the Commission; - Any other task related to logistical assistance. During the initial 12 months it is planned to arrange approximately 15 actions for groups of up to 120 persons plus approximately 150 short term missions to be undertaken by a total of about 250 persons. The service is to be provided for a period of three years. The contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
