Technical assistance in the field of industrial affairs
The Commission of the European Communities, in particular the Directorate-General for Industry (DG III) is planning to conclude contracts to gather information, carry out studies and provide technical assistance in order to gain a fuller understanding of the problems related to the development of industrial policy at Community and world level. The purpose of the call is to constitute, after a selection process, a file of potential contractors who will subsequently be invited to submit tenders concerning activities which will depend on policy or economic requirements and could relate to the following subjects in particular: - Completion of the internal market (monitoring of the incorporation or implementation of Community Directives); - Industrial affairs (industrial economics, industrial relations with non-Community countries, non-energy raw materials, steel industry including primary processing); - Completion and operation of the internal market and industrial policy in given sectors (food, scientific cooperation in the field of food safety, scientific cooperation in food science and technology, agro-industrial products and biotechnology, mechanical engineering, metrology and electrical engineering, construction, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, motor vehicles, shipbuilding, aviation and aerospace, railway industry, textiles and clothing, footwear, paper and wood and leather, construction materials, toys, sports goods, musical instruments, furniture, printing and graphic arts, audiovisual plus the press and book publishing, other industries). Contracts may take the form of study contracts, consultancy contracts or service contracts depending on the work.
