Periodical on open information interchange (OII) standards
A pilot information service covering Open Information Exchange (OII) standards will be launched in September of this year. The commercial publication of "OII Spectrum" is one of a number of activities supported by the Commission in the context of IMPACT to promote the development of OII in Europe. The monthly "news plus" service will combine the friendly and useful features of a newsletter with the in-depth knowledge and analysis of experts and consultants. Each issue of "OII Spectrum" will contain analysis, discussion and guidance in authoritative feature articles commissioned from leading experts and industry commentators providing readers with the basis for short-term decisions as well as long-term strategy formulation. "OII Spectrum" will explain what is being done to make open information interchange possible, by whom and why, plus how to ensure that readers' organizations gain the maximum benefit from OII. A free wall chart explaining OII will be available to coincide with the September 1993 launch of this commercial news service. Versions of "OII Spectrum" will be published in both English and French.
