Commission to support film and audiovisual programme festivals and other events in the audiovisual sphere
As part of its audiovisual policy, the Commission strives to promote European audiovisual programmes and support their distribution as well as to raise public awareness of Europe's rich cultural heritage, in particular by helping to project the European dimension in festivals devoted to films and audiovisual programmes. The Commission therefore intends to provide financial support for high quality audiovisual events in 1994. The applications sought under this call for proposals should concern events of an innovative or model nature in the form of festivals or meetings on specific themes between professionals in the audiovisual industry. The contribution made by the Commission will in no circumstances exceed 25% of the total costs of the project considered.
