The European agency for the evaluation of medicinal products (EMEA) is now recruiting for a number of positions at its London offices. The agency is responsible for coordinating the evaluation and supervision of medicinal products for human and veterinary use in the European Communities. It was established in 1995 and has links with the European Commission, the EU Member States, the European economic area countries and many other groups in the government and private sector. The EMEA is now organising selection procedures with a view to drawing up reserve lists for: - Head of sector pharmacovigilance and post-authorisation safety and efficacy of medicinal products for human use (A 5); - Head of sector scientific advice and orphan medicinal products for human use (A 5); - Head of sector (inspections) (A 5); - Administrators (scientific) within the services for evaluation of human medicinal products (A 7); - Administrators (legal) for veterinary medicines unit (A 7); - Assistant administrators (scientific) within the services for evaluation of human medicinal products (A 8); - Administrative assistants (training (B 5). Selected candidates will be included in a reserve list and, depending on the budgetary situation may be offered a five-year contract.
