The European commission's Energy and Transport DG has issued a call for tenders for a study on benchmarking for best practices in air traffic management in the EU candidate countries. A high level report on the creation of a single sky concluded that single sky policies will need to apply equally to EU candidate countries Benchmarking will be used as a tool to identify and release the potential for improvement.
