The Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements of the Joint Research Centre has issued a call for tender for a sequential dispersive XRF analysis system for the determination of elements from boron to uranium in solid, liquid and powder samples. The system should contain both the hardware and software for the management of the analysis procedures and for the qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative processing of the recorded results. The equipment should be provided with an automatic sample changer for approximately 30 samples. It should also be possible to temporarily replace the entire sample changer by a special sample carrier. The manufacturer should be prepared to provide the necessary technical information to ensure that the special sample changer can be built. The analysis system must be integrated in a DEC-VAX network environment.
