Research encouraged in outer regions - tender
The European Commission's Research DG has given prior information of an invitation to tender for a study on 'gaining better knowledge of the place research and technological development occupies in the outermost regions of Europe and how best the latter can be integrated into the European Research Area [ERA].' The EU's outmermost regions are Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Réunion (France), Madeira and the Azores (Portugal) and the Canary Islands (Spain). The study will comprise of: - identifying all major research actions undertaken in the outermost regions in order to have a detailed overview of the research, technological development and innovation policies followed in the said territories and mapping RTD in the outermost regions. - improving the integration of the outermost regions into the ERA.
