The Commission of the European Communities intends to launch, in the near future, a study in preparation for a Green Paper on the future policy for telecommunications infrastructure and cable TV networks. The feasibility study (duration one year) will examine a wide range of issues including: The existing infrastructures and their potential for delivering telecommunications and multimedia services; convergence in infrastructure and multimedia networks including developments in North America and Japan; financial and strategic implications of the removal of restrictions on infrastructure use. Requests to participate must include information as detailed in the call, including a certificate attesting to registration of the tenderer in the national trade/professional register, balance sheets or extracts, educational and professional qualifications and/or those of the firm's managerial staff and in particular those of the person(s) responsible for providing the study. Criteria for the evaluation of bids will be sent out with the invitation to tender. Tenders may be submitted individually or jointly. If two or more applicants submit a bid, one must be designated as the lead contractor and agent responsible.
