Agriculture, agro-industry and fisheries (AIR) call for proposals
The Commission of the European Communities invites proposals for research and technology development projects and concerted actions in the context of the specific RTD and demonstration programme in the field of agriculture and agro-industry, including fisheries (AIR, 1990-1994). Consortia of eligible organizations are invited to submit proposals for concerted actions for all Areas and topics in the work programme (which sets out the detailed objectives and types of projects to be undertaken). The four Areas within the AIR programme include: Area I: Primary production in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture: - Agricultural and horticultural production systems; - Forestry; - Fisheries and aquaculture; - Rural and coastal development. Area II: Inputs to agriculture, horticulture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture: - Inputs for crop production; - Inputs to forestry; - Inputs for animals; - Equipment and monitoring systems; - Aquaculture; - Fishing techniques and equipment. Area III: Processing of biological raw materials from agriculture, horticulture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture: - Food processing; - Non-food processing. Area IV: End use and products: - Food quality and consumer aspects; - Non-food. Only a limited number of subjects within these Areas and topics are eligible for shared-cost projects.
