The Commission of the European Communities, Directorate-General X (Audiovisual, Information, Communications and Culture) calls for tenders to identify a suitable individual to support the European Communities Information Office in each of the Member State capital cities. The audiovisual expert, working from his/her own premises, will be expected to: - Organize diverse audiovisual events and exhibitions and actively promote use of available Community audiovisual products especially in the context of Single Market information; - Strengthen the daily contact and cooperation with key editors in T.V. and radio (national and regional channels); - Initiate suitable T.V. and radio projects (programmes, teletext, phone-ins, etc.); - Organize an effective national audiovisual press review system. Qualifications should comprise an appropriate experience of radio, T.V. and written media and a good knowledge of the European Institutions. Applicants should include: A detailed c.v. plus appropriate documentation to prove independent or company status. Tenders should be submitted by registered mail inside two sealed envelopes (self-adhesive envelopes may not be used).
