Remote-sensing data interpretation
The Ministries of Agriculture of the participating Member States in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Agriculture of the Commission of the European Communities (DG V) have issued a call for tenders for the photo-interpretation of alphanumerical remote-sensing data provided by the competent departments of one or more Member States. The successful tenderer will also produce support documents and, in particular, maps permitting the location, and on-the-spot verification, of plots of land monitored under the control system for certain Community aid schemes. Such verification will be the responsibility of the Member State. Each Member State represents one lot, for which separate tenders may be submitted. It is possible that contracts will not be awarded for certain Member States. Organizations interested in this work must be able to use satellite and/or aerial remote-sensing techniques and to process a large number of applications quickly, and have a sound knowledge of the crops grown in the Member States concerned. Tender documents may be requested (during the period 15.11.1993 to 10.12.1993) from: Commission of the European Communities Directorate-General for Agriculture Unit VI/G-4 Invitation to Tender, Remote Sensing (Loi 120 11/13) 200 rue de la Loi B-1049 Brussels Telex 21877 COMEU B; Fax +32-2-2964267
