The Altran Foundation is calling for nominations for the 'Technological innovation and early childhood' prize. Created in 1996, the Altran Foundation for innovation supports and promotes technological innovation representing real advances for the greatest number of people possible. It rewards technological innovations in different fields of application every year. The theme for this year's prize covers a number of fields, such as food, health, education and early learning as well as security and hygiene. The prize fund comprises one million euro, which will be used to sponsor between one and three projects. The sponsorship takes the form of personal assistance over a period of one year, and involves Altran's European consultants and managers. The assistance can range from purely technical help for development to administrative help with the setting up of a company. An external view of the market can be very helpful for researchers at this stage. In addition to future laureates, the Altran Foundation is also seeking members for the jury. The jury is will be composed of international experts in the field of early childhood. Those eligible to apply for the prize are companies, research laboratories, hospitals, schools and universities, associations and non-governmental organisations and individual candidates or groups of individual candidates.
