Amiens Biotechnology Seminar: Minutes and video on Community RTD advances
The minutes, together with a video cassette, are now available from the Amiens Biotechnology Seminar on advances in Community biotechnological research (Amiens, 2 June 1993) Presentations at the Seminar included some of the most significant successes from Community biotechnology-related RTD undertaken within the programmes BAP (Biotechnology Action Programme, 1985-1989), the BRITE/EURAM programme (Basic Research in Industrial Technologies for Europe/European Research on Advanced Materials), FLAIR (Food-Linked Agro-Industrial Research, 1989-1993), the Alternative Energy Programme (1983-1985), and the Energy Demonstration Programme, (1983-1985). The research results demonstrated covered a range of topics: Applications of the computer; in vitro cultivation; waste recycling; and improvements of the nutritional qualities of foods. The Seminar was organized, with the support of the Commission of the European Communities, by: - La Chambre Regionale d'Agriculture de Picardie; - Le Biopole Vegetale; - Le Centre de Valorisation des Glucides et Produits Naturels; - Le laboratoire androgenese et biotechnologies de l'Universite de Picardie.
