New Commission Green Paper on the development of European standardization
The Commission's new Green Paper on the development of European standardization (COM(90) 456), submitted on 16 October 1990, has been published in the Official Journal. The paper examines issues relating to the organizational structure, financing, policies and practices of standardization bodies, both at European and National level, and assesses what changes may be needed to make standardization serve the European market more effectively. The Commission will consult interested parties in the three months following publication with a view to identifying the main points of consensus and to agreeing appropriate action.
