Response to VALUE call for utilization of results
A total of 289 proposals were received following the VALUE programme's call for projects promoting or exploiting results of research carried out within the Third Framework Programme for research and technological development (1990-1994). The call, published on 16 September 1993 (OJ No C 252) concerned opportunities offered under the line of action "Utilization of Results" as described in the VALUE work programme. It was addressed to research contractors who are, or have been, participants in research projects of the Framework Programme. The work to be undertaken could take different forms: - Identifying, controlling and appraising the results of research in order to develop and target utilization points; - Finding licensees (including licensees for the Joint Research Centre) and , more generally, parties interested in utilizing results; - Providing adequate financial support for expert studies or tests and experimental developments. The proposals received following this call are now being assessed. Those selected as suitable for financing will shortly enter the decision process leading to the agreement and finalization of contracts.
