Director sought for the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP)
A Director is sought for the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP). The Centre was established in 1975 to assist the Commission of the European Communities in the promotion and development of vocational training and continuing training. It is currently situated in Berlin with a staff of 76, but will move to Thessaloniki at an as yet unspecified date in the future. The appointment will be for a period of five years, renewable once for a maximum of a further five years. The Director will have full executive and management responsibility for the Centre, which will include the organization of the move to Thessaloniki. The Director will be appointed by the European Commission from a list of candidates submitted by the Centre's Management Board. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the post on 1 October 1994.
