Microfluidic system tailors droplets to perfect size

Generating microdroplets of immiscible fluids has been of interest to microfluidics technology for their plethora of potential applications, which run the gamut from drug delivery and pharmaceuticals to food products and cosmetics. Simple in concept, finding ways to control droplet size can be a significant challenge.
