A Commission Regulation of 11 March 1991, (EEC) No 582/91, on the detailed rules applicable to the sale of cereals and oils and fats held in intervention for non-food demonstration projects, amending Regulation (EEC) No 569/88, makes these products available at advantageous prices to chosen demonstration projects concerned with their new use other than as foodstuffs or animal feedstuffs. Project selection shall be based on: Demonstrative value; innovative nature; technical feasibility; agro-industrial impact; impact on competing markets and the danger of market disruption; economic viability; financial resources; environmental aspects. Proposals shall be submitted in June and December of each year (for 1991, proposals may also be submitted in March). The Commission shall specify prices and quantities, plus other conditions of sale, for each approved project.
