The European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture (DG VI) has published a call for expressions of interest for inclusion in a list of candidates wishing to take part in studies and the provision of services (technical assistance) in the forestry sector. The call concerns the following forestry-related fields: - Information and communications systems; - Statistics; - Protection of woodland against fire, atmospheric pollution, disease, etc.; - Forestry policy; - Inventories; - Management of forest ecosystems; - Remote-sensing applications; - Afforestation; - Conservation, management and sustainable development; - Relationship between forestry and the environment (biodiversity in particular); - Conservation of genetic resources; - Forest products market analysis and prospects; - Forest products certification; - Forestry-related trade relations with non-Community countries; - Conservation, management and sustainable development of tropical forests.
