Computer systems for management of Community information exchange systems
The Joint Research Centre has published a call for expressions of interest to tender for the supply of hardware, software packages and professional computer services as part of projects for the creation and management of Community information exchange systems. These include the following: - The Community urgent radiological information exchange system (ECURIE) and connected databanks; - The major accident information system (MARS); - The Centre of Documentation on Industrial Risks (CDCIR). Supplies and services are required in the following areas: - Development and maintenance of existing databanks using relational data management systems and SQL interrogation applications: . REM bank (environmental radioactivity information; . ECURIE bank (nuclear emergencies); . Occupational Exposure bank (occupational radiological doses); . MARS bank (major accidents); . CDCIR bank (industrial risks). - Development and maintenance of information coding and decoding software, and of interfacing software for accident calculation models; - Development and maintenance of geographical information systems (GIS) and computer-aided design (CAD) for the display of information contained in the data banks mentioned above, using Arc-Infor, Intergraph or similar software; - Preparation of technical manuals for outside databank users, in English.
