Experts required for services and/or supplies in the field of energy
The European Commission has published a call for expressions of interest from companies and experts capable of providing services in the field of energy. The list resulting from this call will be used exclusively for contracts whose estimated value is below the limits of the public service contract directives concerned. The required services and supplies concern the following areas: - Infrastructure projects: . Organization of seminars, conferences, workshops, study tours and subsequent production of proceedings; . Institutional support comprising assistance in the establishment of: energy advice and information centres, networks and institutes and other bodies for the exchange of experience and for cooperation, and support to the Commission in technology transfer activities. - Technological paper research and studies: . Analysis and evaluation of energy resources; . Market and technology analysis and market penetration studies; . Analysis of energy generation, and/or production, transformation (processing, refining, etc.), transmission, distribution, interconnections and utilization; . Techno-economic follow-up and evaluation of projects including on-site scrutiny; . Evaluation of energy technology and energy support programmes; . Ex-ante, intermediate and ex-post evaluation of Community energy programmes; . Study visits and reports on national energy programmes; . Development of evaluation methodologies. The above expertise will cover the following: . New and renewable sources of energy, electricity, nuclear energy, solid fuels; . Energy saving, efficiency and substitution; . Oil (exploration and production, refining, marketing), gas (exploration and production, transmission and distribution); . Energy use in all sectors (domestic, industry, transport, services, agriculture). - Promotion: . Production of documentation (brochures, videos, etc.) and translations; . Dissemination of documentation and information; . Reviews and advice on the operation of promotional organizations; . Support for development of promotion strategies and for coordination activities (in Member States, regions, etc.); . Report writing; . Printing; . Preparation of multilingual reports and questionnaires on computer readable magnetic support (diskette, CD-ROM); . Support for establishing mailing lists. All calls for tender will concern the provision of services or supplies. The results of the work will be presented to the Commission in Brussels and/or Luxembourg, throughout the European Union or in non-EU countries as appropriate. The list of experts will be valid for a period of three years following this notice.
