The Consumer Policy Service of the European Commission has published a call for expressions of interest in implementing consumer policy projects. The call concerns contracts which the service will conclude for the implementation of projects in the following areas: - Consumer price studies; . The consumer's position in the light of developments in certain sectors of the economy; . The application of Community consumer legislation; legal aspects of the production and distribution of foodstuffs; . Industrial goods and services; . The safety and quality of these products; . Standardization; . Labelling; . Consumer information and awareness; . Consumer organizations; - A system to monitor and collect statistical data on the application of Community and national consumer legislation; - Specific studies on special subjects, including the creation of new activities and projects intended to improve consumer information, health protection and safety, and to protect their economic interests. The Commission invites concerns with the relevant experience and resources to tender for contracts dealing with all, or some, of the areas mentioned above, to express their interest. Only those who have expressed interest and have been pre-selected will be invited to tender.
