The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) has published a call for expressions of interest in a number of planned studies, as part of its multiannual action guidelines, its 1994 work programme, and its draft 1995 work programme. The studies involve developing CEDEFOP's information service as well as an analysis of current research in the Member States of the European Economic Area in vocational training, with a view to a comparative description of both the qualification and the vocational training systems. The notice covers studies in the following areas: - Monitoring of trends in occupational qualifications; - New occupational profiles developing in the production and service sectors; - Trends in the vocational training and initial and continuing training (institutional and private); - Trends in methods of vocational training (pedagogic and technical); - Innovative activities in occupational guidance and in the training of trainers; - The employment-training relationship (analysis of needs, occupational integration, exclusion, etc.). Expressions of interest should fulfil the following criteria: - Experience of at least five studies in the area selected by the applicants; - Publication of at least 50% of these studies; - Professional contacts with other institutions and/or researchers in other countries in the European Economic Area; - Participation in at least two transnational studies.
