The Council adopted, on 16 June 1994, a common position amending for the thirteenth time Directive 76/769/EEC on the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States in relation to restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations. The amendment identifies certain carcinogens which should be removed from general access. The Directive stipulates that Member States will adopt and publish the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with the Directive no later than one year after its adoption.
