The European Commission has approved a new Dutch programme designed to encourage the dissemination and wider application of new advanced environmental technology by offering grants to SMEs which try to find a first practical application for the environmental technology they have developed. Financial assistance may be granted for measurement projects and first application projects. The duration of the scheme is limited initially to 1994. The budget is ECU 4.65 million for measurement projects and ECU 1.63 million for first-time application projects.
