Experts in statistics and economics
Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Community, intends to establish a register of experts in statistics and economics and a register of statistical consultancy firms. The register will be used for technical assistance to countries in transition and developing countries within the framework of the European Union's cooperation programmes with these countries. Expert are sought for: - Short-term consultancies; - Short-term trainers and lecturers for seminars and training courses organized in the EU or recipient countries; - Consultants for full-time work partly in Luxembourg and partly in recipient countries; Experts should have the following profile: - Good knowledge of statistical systems; - Sound practical experience in one or more areas of official statistics; - Ability to work in a team, with good communication skills; - Knowledge of one or more of the following languages: English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish or Russian.
