Quality assurance for environmental analysis: Method evaluation within the Measurements and Testing programme
Quality assurance for environmental analysis is a growing feature of the 1990s. In this vein, a practical reference book, supported by the European Commission (DG XII), has now been produced on "Quality assurance for environmental analysis". It describes quality assurance with particular reference to the Measurements and Testing programme (BCR) of the European Commission. The book focuses on the techniques used in different analytical fields (inorganic, speciation and organic analysis) and existing tools for evaluating their performance. It is intended as a practical reference book for postgraduate students and environmental chemists who need a wide overview of the techniques used in environmental analysis and existing ways of evaluating the performance of relevant analytical methods.
