The Council has published its Decision 94/782/EC of 6 December 1994 concerning the continuance of the Handynet system in the framework of the activities undertaken to date on the first technical aids module. The Handynet system is part of the third Community action programme to assist disabled people (HELIOS II, 1993-1996) aimed at the promotion of equal opportunities for, and the integration of, disabled people. Handynet is a computerized information and documentation system based on data collected at national level and updated and adapted at European level. The Decision stipulates that the Handynet system of the HELIOS II programme will be continued from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 1996 in the framework of the activities undertaken to date on the first technical aids module.
