The European Commission has published its 'ICT call 11' call for proposals, coming under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). With a total budget of EUR 236.5 million from the ICT work programme, the ICT call 11 encompasses eight topics ranging from nanoelectronics and photonics to future networks, smart energy grids, future emerging technologies and ICT for water resource management. All calls coming under the ICT work programme aim at improving the competitiveness of European industry while meeting society and economy demands.
