The European Council has published its Decision 94/805/EC of 23 November 1994 adopting a specific programme of research and technological development in the field of agriculture and fisheries (including agroindustry, food technologies, forestry, aquaculture and rural development) (1994-1998). The Decision sets the amount deemed necessary for carrying out the programme at ECU 607 million, which includes a maximum of 7.3% for the Commission's staff and administrative expenditure. The Decision contains the scientific and technological content and objectives of the programme, as well as the specific rules for its implementation.
