Action programme for SMEs including craft industry enterprises
A Council Resolution of 27 May 1991 on the action programme for small and medium-sized enterprises, including craft industry enterprises, reaffirms the will to make substantial progress in the area of policies to promote SMEs; stresses the development of vocational training and management training through existing Community programmes; emphasizes the need to reduce administrative burdens and simplify formalities for enterprises; desires the impact sheet that accompanies Community texts likely to affect enterprises to be properly prepared; stresses the importance of improving the flow of information to and from SMEs, in particular via greater early involvement of trade organizations at Community level; emphasizes that optimum use of existing instruments shall facilitate access to new markets and technologies; calls attention to the recommendations of the Community Conference on craft industry and small enterprises (Avignon, 12-13 October 1990); emphasizes the importance of consistency between Community policies affecting SMEs.
