The European Commission, DG XI, has published an invitation to tender for a preliminary study to identify areas within the European Union where sufficient data is available to evaluate any short-term effects on health associated with episodes of air pollution by ozone, as defined by breaches of the information and alert thresholds set out in Directive 92/72/EEC. The project should be started by 1 July 1995 and be completed by 31 March 1996.
