The European Commission, DG XIII, has published a report on "Telework 1994: Actions for stimulation of transborder telework and research cooperation in Europe". The telework actions were set up as APAS (Actions de Preparation, d'Accompagnement et de Suivi) measures under the RACE II programme for advanced communications technologies (1990-1994). This programme is now being continued under the specific programme for advanced communications technologies and services (ACTS) as part of the Fourth Framework Programme (1994-1998). The report presents an overview of the accompanying measures and preparatory actions launched in the area of telework during 1994, including: . Telework stimulation; . Assessments of the social, environmental and economic impact of advanced communications; . Regional research cooperation. The report also contains a brief summary of the projects, a list of participating organizations, and a selected bibliography on telework in Europe.
