Commission authorizes R&D State aid in the Netherlands and Germany
The European Commission has agreed to the following cases of State aid in the field of research and development, pursuant to Articles 92 and 93 of the EC Treaty: - Germany: . Participation capital for SME research and development, in order to stimulate research by SMEs (aid intensity: 13% for applied R&D); . Transport research (without Transrapid), in order to stimulate the research on terrestrial transport (aid intensity: 100% for fundamental research, 50% for basic industrial research); - The Netherlands: . Projects Philips, in order to stimulate the research in various electronics domains (aid intensity: 50% for basic industrial research, 25% for applied R&D).
