RTD programme in marine science and technology (1991-1994)
Following the recent adoption of a new specific programme in marine science and technology (MAST II), expressions of interest are sought for a large-scale targeted project on the North Atlantic Ocean. The aim is to contribute to an assessment of the role of oceans and their margins (including coastal zones) in global fluxes. The project concerns the European shelf-break facing the North Atlantic ocean and should integrate aspects of physical oceanography, biogeochemical cycling, biological processes and sedimentolology. The call is intended to determine at an early date the degree of interest, the detailed project priorities, and the means required, and also to create transnational contacts between potential participants.Full information is obtainable from: Commission of the European Communities Dr. J.
