The PHERECLOS project is a Coordination and Support Action under H2020-SWAFS which is aiming to pilot, share and promote innovate models of cross-sectoral collaboration at the overlapping edges of formal and non-formal education. This follows an understanding of Open Schooling as models and communities of education providers of various kinds in an area – may they be for example schools, museums, libraries, universities, companies, NGOs, associations, public administration and all those other knowledge providers in a regional ecosystem of education.

This shall support schools to better reflect on external ideas, topics and societal challenges. Schools shall be empowered to incorporate this input in their everyday teaching approaches and daily school life, also in interaction with non-school educators. In return, schools can provide and foster the creativity and potential as the assets of their pupils and teachers to the community around them.

As an integral part within the PHERECLOS approach, the project has launched a mentoring programme which is aiming to enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience among diverse actors in innovative forms of Open Schooling – and to kick-start the formation of new approaches. The call is open for actors which have different levels of experience in different segments. This shall stimulate mutual learning and lead to new insights and reflections.

Under the Transnational Education Mentoring Partnerships Programme (TEMP), PHERECLOS will support 10 such mentoring groups, which include at least 4 organisations from 2 different countries in a new form of cooperation and networking.

Funding is up to 15.000 EUR per mentoring group for a period of 11 months in 2021. The call is still open until Dec 18th, 2020.
