The European Commission, DG XII, has published a call for expressions of interest for the establishment of a list of persons or organizations to assist the Commission in areas relating to the European Community programme in the field of targeted socio-economic research (TSER). The Commission will draw up a list of suitable candidates. The list will be divided into six sublists, each one of which will correspond to one of the types of service referred to below. Each time a specific contract is to be concluded relating to the areas described below, the Commission will send the specifications to all the candidates on the list, or to some of them selected on the basis of special criteria for the contract concerned. The list drawn up following this notice will be used solely for contracts whose estimated value is below the thresholds laid down in the relevant public procurement directives. The European Community is carrying out research and technological development activities giving rise to specific programmes under successive framework programmes. The objective of this call is to draw up a list of suitably qualified persons or organizations to assist the Commission in the management of activities related to the Targeted Socio-Economic Research (TSER) programme in the following areas: - Evaluation of science and technology policy options in Europe; - Research into education and training; - Research into social exclusion and social integration in Europe. The work may relate to services listed in six sublists: - Sublist 1 (COO-EVAL): Assistance with the management, the coordination and the follow-up of RTD projects in Area I of the work programme entitled "Evaluation of science and technology policy options in Europe" (scientific and technical monitoring, analysis of documents, ex-ante and ex-post evaluation of projects, organization of conferences and workshops, etc.); - Sublist 2 (ETU-EVAL): Studies on topics related to themes of the TSER work programme in Area I "Evaluation of science and technology policy options in Europe" in the TSER work programme. Important note: Those who have responded to the call for expressions of interest for membership of the European Technology Assessment Network (ETAN) (OJ No C 64 of 15.3.1995) may refer to any documentation they have already sent to the Commission services in connection with their application(s) for sublists 1 and 2; - Sublist 3 (COO-EDU): Assistance with the management, the coordination and the follow-up of RTD projects in Area II of the TSER work programme "Research on education and training" (scientific and technical monitoring, analysis of documents, ex-ante and ex-post evaluation of projects, organization of conferences and workshops, etc.); - Sublist 4 (ETU-EDU): Studies on topics related to themes of the TSER work programme in Area II "Research on education and training"; - Sublist 5 (COO-EXCL): Assistance with the management, the coordination and the follow-up of RTD projects in Area III of the TSER work programme "Research into social exclusion and social integration in Europe" (scientific and technical monitoring, analysis of documents, ex-ante and ex-post evaluation of projects, organization of conferences and workshops, etc.); - Sublist 6 (ETU-EXCL): Studies on topics related to themes of the TSER work programme in Area III "Research into social exclusion and social integration in Europe". The list will be valid for three years from 2 June 1995.
