The aim of the Community system of information on home and leisure accidents (EHLASS) is to collect data on such accidents with a view to promoting accident prevention, improving the safety of consumer products and educating consumers so that they make better use of products. The Decision amends the financial resources deemed necessary for implementing the system from ECU 2,500 million per year to ECU 2,808 million per year.
