Authorizations for State aid
Published authorizations for State aid, pursuant to Articles 92 and 93 of the EEC Treaty (cases where the Commission raises no objections), include the following RTD-related subjects: Portugal (Aid to promote energy efficiency): Aid of ECU 19 million is approved for an unspecified duration. The Netherlands (Business-related technological simulation of international projects): To encourage the participation of Dutch enterprises in international research projects, a budget of ECU 7 million is approved for 1991. Spain (Prevention of atmospheric and industrial pollution, investment in energy conservation and diversification, and promotion of craft businesses): Aid totaling ECU 4.7 million is approved for these three projects, based in Catalonia, for the year 1991. Spain (Scheme to assist SMEs): ECU 14.1 million in aid to investments and schemes to modernize SMEs in the Madrid region is approved for the period 1991-1993. Spain, province of Galicia (Measures to assist industry, business services, craft firms, R&D in mining and tourism). Aid of ECU 39.1 million during 1991-1993, financed by the ERDF, is approved. The Netherlands (Scheme for the stimulation of innovation, INSTIR): To increase the R&D activity of Dutch enterprises of no more than 100 employees, ECU 320 million is approved in aid during 1991-1995.
