The three projects are as follows: - CAD-CAM Engineering: a software engineering workshop designed to manufacture future tools for computer assisted design/manufacture (CAD-CAM). It responds to the needs of industrial enterprises in the scientific and technical fields. The total cost of this project, which is run by the company Matra Datavision, amounts to ECU 34.8 million; - "Generale des Eaux-Intec": a project aimed at developing all the necessary technical tools for the setting up of a global waste management service. It should allow a new approach to waste management and the provision of the necessary tools and technologies. The total cost of the project is ECU 71.77 million; - SOLID: a project led by Quantel, BMI, Verre et Quartz, Cheval Freres, Chrismatic, Telsa Informatique and seven public laboratories. Its aim is to examine the economic viability of a high intensity solid lasers, to determine the essential characteristics for the industrial applications envisaged and to verify the technical feasibility of the system.
