A proposal for a Council Decision submitted by the Commission to the Council on 31 July 1991 (COM(91) 290) concerns the conclusion of a multilateral Cooperation Agreement "Community-COST" on the following five concerted action projects in the field of research in biotechnology: - Aquatic primary biomass (Marine macroalgae) (COST 48); - Vesicular-arbuscular Mycorrhizae (VA-Mycorrhizae) (COST 810); - In vitro cultures for the purification and propagation of plants (COST 87); - Methods for early detection and identification of plant diseases (COST 88); - Coccidioses and development of vaccines (COST 89). The contracting parties shall participate for a period extending until 31 December 1993 in one or several of the five projects. The content of the research topics, the financing rules, and the estimated financial contributions from the Community and from each participating non-Member State are set forth in the Agreement and its annexes.
