The Community's "Technology Stimulation Measures for SMEs" are aimed at encouraging and facilitating participation of SMEs in the specific programmes of the Fourth Framework Programme for research and technological development and demonstration. In this context, the European Commission has established a decentralized network of contacts for a number of the specific programmes. This is referred to as the "CRAFT Network of Focal Points". The aim of the network is to offer interested organizations up-to-date information, in their own language, on the EC's Technology Stimulation Measures for SMEs. The network comprises organizations which were selected by Member States and Associated States as possessing adequate and recognized experience to provide information, advice and assistance to SMEs at national, regional and local level. The network ensures an adequate thematic and geographical coverage in each country. The CRAFT Network of Focal Points for Iceland includes: - National Focal Point: Hordur Jonsson The Icelandic Research Council Laugavegi 13 IS-101 Reykjavik Tel. +354-5621320; Fax +354-5529814 - Focal Point for the specific programmes: Elisabet M.
