The Commission seeks, for an initial period of one year but with the possibility of extension, a contractor or contractors who will undertake to translate from all official languages into one, some or preferably all of the other official languages some 12,000 pages a year of planned new technical regulations and standards, including comments, communicated to the Commission by the EC Member States and the EFTA countries. Subjects covered include pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronics, telecommunications, engineering, construction, transport, agri-foodstuffs and cosmetics.
