Authorizations for State aid pursuant to Articles 92 and 93 of the EEC Treaty (Cases where the Commission raises no objections) published on 24 September 1991 include, inter alia: - Italy: SME aid schemes (Budget of ECU 1 million for one year from 24 April 1991, aid intensity of 20- 25%); - Germany (City of Flensburg): environmental protection aid programmes in the trade and industry sector (Budget of DM 11 million per annum, not limited in time, aid up to 20%); - Denmark: New amendment to R&D tax provisions extending the supplementary tax deduction to THERMIE projects (Loss of tax revenue estimated at Dkr 5 million, representing aid up to 11%); - Germany (Saarland): Programme stimulating the introduction of renewable energy sources on the market (Budget of DM 1.8 million during 1991, with possible extension, aid of 20-50%); - Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia): Programmes to promote technology (Budget of ECU 305.8 million, 1991-1995, aid intensity of 25-50%) - Germany (Bremen): Action programme for Bremen and Bremerhaven, promoting communication and information technologies (Budget of ECU 6 million, 1991-1995, aid up to 60%); - The Netherlands: Business oriented technology stimulation scheme, stimulation of R&D in information technology, material technology, biotechnology, environment (Budget of ECU 53.4 million during 1991, aid of 37.5%) - Spain: Measures to help firms adjust to the single market, impact studies (Budget of ECU 11.7 million, 1991-1992, aid to 50%); - United Kingdom: Advanced Technology Programme (ATP), to encourage collaborative research between companies (Budget of ECU 13.5 million, 1990-1991, aid to 40%); - The Netherlands: Professionally trained staff (knowledge carriers) in SMEs, to increase activity in development of new products, processes and services (Budget of ECU 1.17 million to 31 December 1993, aid intensity of 23%).
