Guide to Structural Funds and Cohesion Funds
The European Commission has published an updated guide to the Community's Structural Funds and Cohesion Funds for the years 1994 to 1999. The updated version takes account of the accession of Austria, Finland and Sweden to the European Union. The following information is presented: - Details of the operation, management and implementation of measures; - Breakdown of the Structural Funds into European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund, Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund, Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance, and the Community Initiatives; - Funding available and the areas eligible. The guide also contains the texts of the relevant Community legislation governing the Funds, and a list of the contact points in the Commission and the Member States that are responsible for the Funds.
