TACIS ACE programme call for proposals
The European Commission, DG I, has launched a call for proposals for the TACIS ACE programme, with a budget of ECU 3.5 million for grants. Since 1994, TACIS ACE has provided opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience in economics between academic and professional economists in the New Independent States (NIS), Mongolia and the European Union, and has promoted extensive cooperation on economic research projects through the provision of financial assistance. TACIS ACE offers grants for research projects, fellowships, scholarships, conference organization and active conference participation in order to accelerate the transfer of know-how to support the development of market economies and democratic societies in the NIS and Mongolia. Research topics should relate directly to the process of economic reform, in particular monetary and exchange-rate policy, fiscal policy and tax reform, trade and commercial policy, labour markets, social security, privatization and corporate governance, finance and investment, industrial policy, regional policy, agricultural policy, environmental policy, transport and communications policy, energy policy and managerial aspects of reform in the private and public sectors.
