The European Commission, DG XVI, has published an invitation to tender for technical assistance for cooperation networks in the field of regional planning, within the TERRA programme, financed under Article 10 of the Regional Fund Regulation. The tender is for a limited number of specialists, working in cooperation, to support the assessment, and technical, scientific and financial management and monitoring of pilot cooperation projects in the field of regional planning under TERRA. The tender is divided into the following lots, corresponding to areas of the programme: - Coastal areas; - River basins; - Mountain regions; - Areas undergoing erosion and desertification; - Inaccessible rural regions; - Regions where natural or cultural heritage is endangered; - Ensuring coordination of services in each of the above areas. Tenderers may bid for one, several or all of the above lots. The contract(s) concluded will run from 1 January 1998 to 31 December 1999, and may be renewed until 31 December 2000.
