The European Commission, DG I, has published an invitation to tender concerning a study on the medium to long-term impact of technology transfer to China. The aim of the study is to assess to what extent the transfer of European advanced technology (including R&D capacity) to China could have an impact on the EU's competitive position over the medium to longer term. To this end the analysis of China's policy to upgrade its technology base will be an important element of the study. The study should be completed within five months.
